She noticed a bald eagle falling into the hunters’ trap.

Kaitlin Adeyr, 39, was walking along the Davis Trail near Juneau, Alaska. At one point she discovered something scary and shocking at the same time.

She noticed a bald eagle falling into the hunters’ trap. The eagle struggled to get out, but as a result, was wounded. The woman immediately released the bird. And later she notified the competent authorities.

But the story here did not end…

After releasing the bird, Kaitlin informed the authorities… it turned out that touching the traps is forbidden because they were placed absolutely legally. Unfortunately, this eagle was shot 3 days after it was released.

The judge who analyzed this case expressed his admiration for Kaitlin’s deed and dropped the charges against her. Despite the fact that those traps were set in accordance with the law, the court decided not to initiate any proceedings against the brave woman.

It seems that at one time bald eagles were considered an endangered species, and now their population has grown so much that special services have no choice but to partially exterminate the population.
