A hospital in Denmark has ignored all the rules for one man, the reason is more humane and more shocking than anything else…

It all happened at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark. Here, a group of nurses did something remarkable: with the permission of the family, they violated all the rules of the hospital and fulfilled the last wishes of a dying old man.

The man in the picture is Carsten Flemming Hansen (75 years old), after learning that he had an aortic aneurysm in his abdomen he was told that he was too sick to have surgery, he was also told that he was only a few days or a few hours to live.

Hoping to give the man a dignified death, the nurses at Hansen Hospital decided to break the hospital rules, the employees took the old man to the balcony of his room, allowed him to smoke a cigarette, and drink a glass of White wine. He and his family watched one last sunset together as he enjoyed what had been given to him for one last time.
