A woman with an ovarian cyst that weighed as many as ten babies in one place can breathe a sigh of relief.
The 32-kilogram ovarian cyst was removed during a highly risky surgery.
The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, is originally from Mexico and is 24 years old.
She noticed that something was wrong because, although she was on a fairly strict diet, instead of losing weight, she gained weight day by day.
After a series of tests and medical examinations, the young woman discovered that she had an ovarian cyst, which grew incredibly much during 11 months.
Three days before the cyst removal procedure, the benign tumor crushed her internal organs, especially her heart, lungs, and stomach.
The patient also had difficulty moving, eating, and breathing.
The surgery took place a year ago and was the merit of doctor Erik Hanson Viana.
The doctor at the General Hospital in Mexico says the benign tumor was the largest ever removed.
Currently, less than six months after the operation, the woman has regained her mobility and can lead a normal life.
“According to my research, this is the largest ovarian cyst removed ever without drying it first or without spilling it,” said the doctor.
Shortly after starting a diet, the woman noticed that her hands, face, and feet were getting thinner and thinner as the abdomen grew larger.
