While Steve Carter never really thought too much about being adopted, he began to ask questions about his past when he had children as well. Two things stood out to him: his birth certificate had been issued only a year after his birth. The other was that he was half-Hawaiian, even though he had blond hair and blue eyes, which is extremely strange to someone even with vague blood ties to Hawaiian people.
It wasn’t until he read about another woman’s adoption story that he became interested in the mystery of his roots. The woman’s name was Carlina White, she had discovered that a picture of her appeared next to a child on a site for missing children. After finding out about this woman’s case, the man entered the same site and the mystery of his life began to make sense.
He found a picture of a 5-month-old baby named Marx Panama Barnes on the website, based on that image he showed you and how Max would look today and that image was him! It was a picture of him as a baby.
After reading further, he discovered that the baby in the picture was born just one day away from his birthday and the place of birth corresponded to his. Then he sent the picture to his adoptive mother who also agreed that he was the boy in the picture. But something was wrong, his adoptive parents had taken him at the age of 4 and no one told them he was a missing child.
After several investigations, Carter found out that his adoptive mother gave him up for adoption because he was suffering from a mental illness, but in his father’s column, he gave the name of a man to whom he changed the race. Apparently, his mother left one day telling Carter’s father that he was going for a little walk with the boy, but he never returned. The father reported him missing, but the case was never resolved.
Once his biological father’s name was known, the competent institutions performed a DNA test, so Carter learned that he had a living biological father who, when he called, could not control his tears at the hearing of his son’s voice for the first time in 32 years.
Carter’s biological mother disappeared one day from the hospice where she was hospitalized and nothing was known about her. Now Carter is in ninth heaven because he won a second father and found out the missing part of his life story.
