Nick Pazio and his ex-wife got divorced after a long time of not getting along with each other anymore. They had a dog together, Lucy, and they decided that she, his ex, will be the one who will keep her with the promise that she will look after the animal.
The time without Lucy was hard, and Nick was thinking about his old friend every day. His days got brighter as he married Shannon McCann, who had a Husky of her own. But still, memories of Lucy would still come in his head, unconsciously. Do you believe in miracles? Well, miracle or pure coincidence, you must watch the video and decide yourself.
As Nick was scrolling on Facebook, he found an adoption event hosted by Planned Pethood. He started looking at the pictures with the dogs available for adoption and something surprised his eyes. Started looking very closely at one dog, and he could bet that it was looking just like Lucy, his old beloved friend. Didn’t think twice and went there, getting a bit worried that someone might adopt her before him.
Upon his arrival at the event, his day got much better. Lucy was standing somewhere in the back, recognizing him immediately. “Lucy recognized him right away,” McCann said in an interview for The Dodo. “When she saw Nick, she popped right up and was wagging her tail like crazy and had her face as close to the holes in the crate [where she was being kept] as possible so Nick could touch her.
When we opened the crate to let her out, she jumped all over him and her tail wouldn’t stop.”. Nick filled up the paperwork and took her home, where she belonged.
Seemed that his ex-wife brought Lucy to Planned Pethood, without reaching Nick first. McCann wrote in a Facebook post: “She claimed she ‘didn’t think about it.’ We’re just glad nick saw the adoption post at the right time so we were able to get Lucy back and give her a good home.”
Lucy is back where she belongs, and has a new sister, Kuma the Husky, and they get along very well!
