In a quiet neighborhood, neighbors heard more and more strange sounds coming from a veterinarian’s house. At first, they didn’t pay much attention, but as time went on, it became clearer that something was wrong.
The sounds were heard especially during the night, but sometimes also during the day, so the neighbors decided to call the police.
Police arrived at the scene and found that the vet’s house was full of animals, but strangely the sounds came from elsewhere. After listening carefully, they realized that the sounds could be heard from somewhere under the floor, but they could not find any door leading in the direction of the sounds.
Eventually, police pulled aside a thick carpet and found a hatch leading to the basement of the house.
The moment they opened the hatch, they had the surprise of their lives. Dozens of animals were in a deplorable condition in the basement of the house. The animals were tormented, starved and thirsty. The veterinarian, who had to take care of these animals, was in fact the one who tortured them and abused them.
Police rescued dozens of animals, dogs, and cats and watered them in a shelter where they received the medical care they needed.
The veterinarian was arrested and sentenced to 6 years in prison for ill-treatment of animals.
