A grandmother named Mary Salter contacted the company that produces the ice cream that she and her family eat in a regular mob. Why did she do that? Grandma went through an unusual incident. Here is what happened:

The woman offered her nephew a vanilla-flavored ice cream in the shape of a sandwich. The ice cream broke in two and the boy threw it on the ground. One-piece landed on cement and one on grass. Grandma thought of leaving the ice cream there because it will surely be eaten by birds, dogs, cats, or maybe even ants or other insects.

The woman watched carefully as the ice cream remained there, on the ground for 4 days, in which no animal, not even an insect touched it. Moreover, the ice cream did not melt, even though it was very hot outside.

After seeing this, the grandmother turned to a social network to ask for an explanation from the company that produces the ice cream.

“Hey Coles – can you PLEASE tell me just what is in your Coles Icecream Sandwiches

I am intrigued as on Friday at about 5 pm my grandson threw a skitz when the one he opened broke in two so he threw it out one half landed on back cement the other half onto the lawn – I thought I would leave the pieces for the cats/birds/dog even – ants maybe??? I have watched with interest that none of the above would go near it (not even the ants) the ice cream has not melted and there the two pieces sit – now I am a little concerned just WHAT is in this “treat” – can you please explain why after 4 days in 26-degree heat on cement it has not melted or nothing has volunteered to eat it – anyone reading this post and has a Coles ice cream sandwich (Vanilla flavor – maybe it’s the Vanilla!!) please please do what I have done break it throw each half out and see if you can persuade it to melt or a creature to eat it

I am interested in your reply Coles!!”

The supermarket chain that produces ice cream responded by commenting on the woman’s post telling her that they responded in a private message on Facebook.

After we wrote this article, we also started to find out what ingredients an ordinary ice cream contains.

Several specialists advise us not to consume ice cream if it is written on the package that it contains one of the following ingredients:

Diethyl Glycol – is a chemical emulsifier, used instead of eggs. This chemical is also used in the production of antifreeze or in the production of analgesic products.

Piperonal – It is also a chemical, used mainly to destroy lice. It mimics the vanilla flavor.

Butyraldehyde – is used to produce walnut flavor from ice cream, but the base is used to produce rubber glue.
