Postman smashed the door down after he heard a weak voice asking for help -the next thing he saw on the floor gave him goosebumps
Being a postman may sound like a normal job for many, but for some people, it’s the best job ever. It might be overwhelming sometimes because of the multiple tasks and great attention when sorting files, but it also brings joy when people are smiling to see you. It’s true, postmen make a lot of friends on the field, friendships that can last forever. See what happened to this man while he was working on a sunny day on his usual route. It’s something that changed him forever.

After Josh Hefta left the house dressed in his uniform, he climbed on his bike and pedaled to the post office to fill the bag with mail. Cycling on the usual route and going from door to door, the man came to an old woman named Alice Paschke, with whom he had formed a special friendship. Alice was 94 years old and lived alone, she often invited him inside for a cup of coffee or something to eat as she was always alone and felt the need to speak to someone. Josh arrived at the woman’s house and knocked on the door, knowing that she had leg pain due to old age.

He knocked several times, seeing that no one was answering and at one point he heard a voice inside, asking for help. “Please come in, I need help!”, and when Josh heard that weak voice, he knew that something was wrong so he forced the door and eventually entered. The image he saw left him masked. The old woman was lying on the floor like a statue. Alice told him what had happened, that she had fallen almost a day ago and could not get up since. The man helped her and put her to bed, after which Josh called an ambulance crew so Alice can be transported to the hospital.
Alice was very happy, she knew she could count on Josh in the early hours of the morning. He was her only hope. She considers him a hero, as well as the post office where he works, which is why he received a bonus for his heroic act. Josh feels fulfilled that he was able to help his old friend, and he visits her often and makes sure that the woman doesn’t miss anything. Let’s share this beautiful story and spread kindness over the world.
