Little puppy had no chance against the big waves – when all hopes disappeared, this happened
Dogs love to swim and what is even more interesting is the fact that they have this ability in their blood, as soon as they enter its water they learn what the movement is. As in almost all situations, there are some exceptions or moments when things might get worse, just like in this heartwarming story where a little puppy was about to drown in the cold and big ocean waves, if this uncapped hero wouldn’t appear. Raden Soemawinata, a 20-year-old teenager from Australia, managed to surprise millions of people with his courage and initiative. One day he was on the pontoon, to make sure that his grandmother’s last wish is fulfilled, namely that her ashes be scattered in the water. While he was having a moment with him, in which he said a few words to his beloved grandmother, which he did not have time to say, he heard someone yelling for help.
He looked around and saw an old woman at the end of the pontoon, on her knees, leaning over the railing as if something or someone had fallen into the choppy waves. Raden didn’t stop to think and immediately left to see what it was all about, and when he got closer everything was clear: a puppy was fighting the waves to stay afloat. Sue Drummond, the owner of the distressed dog, begged all passers-by to help her save the puppy while crying. Raden took off his pants, placed down his grandmother’s vase, and went into the water to make sure the puppy reached the shore, safe.
After a while, they both reached the shore, helped by Sue to climb. Sue had no words to thank Raden, but you can be convinced from the attached pictures that the old woman was very grateful for the gesture that the young man-made. She explained to Raden how it all happened: the very strong wind of that day reaching 60 miles per hour against the little dog, well, it wasn’t a very good combination. His heroic deed went viral on the internet and very soon he received Compassionate Citizen Award by Animals Australia for his “selflessness and bravery”.
