Woman passes a note to vet – “Call the police, he has a gun” – what happened next
Domestic violence is very common nowadays, unfortunately. For example, according to a recent study, up to three million cases are reported annually in the United States, but many incidents are not reported. This is the note she passed to a representative from the vet’s office where she brought her boyfriend’s dog. The whole thing happens at DeLand Animal Hospital in Florida. The two came together and when the woman had a single moment, more precisely when she went to the toilet, she passed the handwritten note, in a hurry, to the women at the reception. Immediately after the women read her message desperately, you can see how the violent man looked curiously at his girlfriend who a few moments ago asked for help.
The next moment, the police were contacted and soon a crew entered the building, surrounding the man. In the footage, you can see the moment when the police enter the waiting room and search Jeremy Floyd, the violent man who was beating his girlfriend almost every day and threatens her with a gun, in case she said something to someone. He had a gun in the back and they removed it, making sure the abused woman was safe.
He was arrested on many charges, including aggravated assault with a firearm. Police later found out, following a statement, that the woman was forcibly held captive in the house by this man for 2 days. It all started with the fact that Jeremy was a jealous and possessive person. She tried to escape but he caught her and threatened to kill her whole family if she left. The 39-year-old man was locked up for his actions. Fortunately, the woman who received the abusive treatment is safe and continues caring for the dog.
