They said they could not wait to become parents, but shortly after the birth the two were imprisoned – it’s outrageous what the investigators found
It is a wonderful thing to be a parent, the pride and satisfaction that a person feels when he holds his child in his arms for the first time is unmatched. But, in addition to all the unique emotions and feelings, a parent must show a lot of responsibility and maturity in order to raise a healthy child from all points of view. It is true that not all people deserve this privilege of becoming parents, for some people it should be forbidden, or, an even better option would be that before becoming parents to take a psychological test to check if the two are mentally capable for such a big step. It may sound harsh at first glance, but this way we can avoid or at least reduce the situations mentioned in the following story.
Billy Ray Hawkins and Jade Nicole Herron became parents at a fairly young age. Billy, 21, and Jade, 19, became parents after several years of relationship, but they were not mentally prepared enough to care for a newborn. Moreover, the two were always telling their friends and family that they hardly wait for the moment when they would have a child, and claimed with big confidence that they were ready for this huge step.
The two are residents of South Carolina and one day they went to the hospital with their child, claiming that the little one put a toy in his mouth and exploded. They did not think that an investigation would be opened and the child’s injuries and other pieces of evidence would be also analyzed thoroughly. After a thorough investigation, it was found that the parents brutally hit their child, leaving fractures in the upper limbs, bruises, and an eye so swollen that it could no longer be seen. Also, the two animals, because otherwise they cannot be named because of their brutality, stuffed a toy in the child’s mouth, a toy that is normally used for children whose teeth come out for the first time.
