Is it a rag? A dirty carpet? A discarded blanket? It’s actually an animal – you won’t believe how this poor animal looks like
When we think about how many animals are out there in the world, alone on the streets, living from one day to the next, lacking the warmth, love, and care of a home, a deep sadness grips us, doesn’t it? There are millions of such animals in this situation and very few people endure to go the extra mile to help them. It is understandable that we are often so busy with children, work, family, and many other things that we miss the opportunity to give help to forgotten beings. A woman from England helped a poor animal that did not have much chance of surviving. Fortunately, the fluffy one’s guardian angel appeared just on time.

A woman named Harriet Chaplin from Leeds, England was returning from work and on her way home, she decided to change course and walk down a street with more trees and nature. She was in no hurry, she decided to spend some time for herself and enjoy that perfect day for walking. Apparently, it was the best idea that day because someone special appeared on her pathway. What seemed at first sight to be a torn and dirty garment, turned out to be something else entirely.

Harriet approached that piece of hair, and was scared when she saw it move! It was actually a dog. The dog had extremely tangled fur, his eyes were barely visible and he seemed to have only three legs. She stopped thinking, called a taxi, and headed to the nearest vet’s office in the area. Once he arrived, the doctors barely managed to figure out what breed the poor dog was. Finally, they concluded that it was a small Lhasa Apso, a dog breed originally from Tibet. Despite their small size, these dogs were used as guard animals in monasteries due to their ability to adapt to the low temperatures in Tibet for about two thousand years.
The veterinarians realized that one of the front legs was tangled in the fur, the poor dog not being able to use it. Just imagine the torments this dog went through, considering that he had inflamed and exfoliated skin around his eyes.
Harriet considers that she made the best decision that day, changing the usual route. She named the little puppy Soldier, for the strength and courage he showed. The little Soldier received professional medical care and eventually, Harriet did the work and found a home forĀ Soldier, where a family loves him wholeheartedly.

It’s great to see that there are people in the world who love animals so much and take care of them when needed. Soldier looks very strong and good looking after being cut and arranged. We invite you to convince yourself of the pictures attached to the article. Let’s follow Harriet’s example and do some good in the world! Share Soldier’s story with your friends and family!
