A less common case occurred at an airport in Beirut, Lebanon. After an international flight landed at the airport, all the passengers took their luggage and left, only one piece of luggage remained unclaimed. It was a wooden box, without any label attached to it.
Airport employees were waiting for someone to come and claim the box, so they left it at the airport without checking it.
For 7 days, no one came to claim the box, so airport employees decided to open it.
When they opened the lid of the box, they were shocked by what was inside.
Inside the box were piled 3 Siberian tigers, about 4 months old. They were in a pretty bad medical condition, they were infested with worms and very dehydrated.

For at least 7 days the little animals had not eaten or drunk water, it is a miracle how they managed to survive in that box for so long.
A group rescuing the animals was called to take the tiger cubs.
He said: “Nothing indicates that the box contained tigers, or any other animal, and there are currently no details about who left them there.”
The animals were taken to the vet where they received all the medical care they needed. After recovering, the tiger cubs were transferred to a local zoo.
The Siberian Tigers are the largest of the tiger species and can grow up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 700 lbs.
It is estimated the wild population of Siberian tigers at around 350-450 tigers.
The Siberian –or Amur- tiger is considered a critically endangered species.
