Dogs are very loyal creatures and this fact is known by almost everyone. They have something different in their personality if we compare to cats of hamsters for example. But why is that? Why is this connection between humans and dogs so strong? There are many theories and one of them consists of the idea that dogs as we know evolved from wolves after they started cohabitating with humans, and there were so many proofs found in archeological sites, proving that humans and dogs were good friends a long time ago.
There is a strong emotional bond, and if you’re a dog lover you know when your dog is sad and your dog knows when you’re moody. Loyalty is a natural behavior for them and because they are pack animals it makes them very social. They can be very obedient and can memorize up to 250 words and commands. Impressive, right? Unfortunately, some people might use dog training for wrong purposes.. like the person in the following video.
The last word he said to Luke, the dog, was “Stay”, and the dog listened. The dog complied and waited for his owner to return but.. seemed that it took a while. He obeyed and stood there for hours, people were passing by and started asking questions about the patient creature that stands there, with his head bowed. A woman tried to call him and make him move but Luke stood there, still, his owner never came back. Luke waited there for seven days. At some point, he was taken to a shelter where he made friends in the same situation, but different stories.
He met Denis, a dog who was found in an abandoned trailer with his siblings and rescued by the same team that took care of Luke. They became best friends quickly, walking, playing, and eating together like two spiritual brothers. Despite their past, they kept their loving behavior and cared for each other at all times. Well-behaved, clever, loving, caring, fast, receptive, calm are just a few qualities that these two partners share. The ideal team, we would say.
The best thing that happened? Someone adopted both dogs. At first, the person wanted to adopt one of them but after hearing that he also has a spiritual brother, Dennis and Luke were adopted right away. Luke and Dennis live the life they deserve and more than that, they are together, forever!
