The girls didn’t look the same, nor did they look like sisters, or twins.

Whitney Meyer and Thomas Dean from Springfield, Illinois, USA became the parents of two beautiful and perfectly healthy little girls.

But when they saw them growing up, both parents couldn’t believe their eyes. The girls didn’t look the same, nor did they look like sisters, or twins.

The girls obviously have different skin tones. Kalani has light skin and blue eyes, like his mother. And Jarani, on the other hand, has darker skin and brown eyes, just like her dad!

Twins with different skin tones are very rare. This usually happens in the case of fraternal twins, when two sperm fertilize two different eggs. The incidence of such a phenomenon among identical twins is practically 1 in 1,000,000!

Whitney and Thomas did not even imagine that this would happen to them, but they perceived it as a very pleasant surprise. They are extremely happy to have two such special daughters.

And it seems that skin color is not the only difference between them – Kalani is like a small storm full of curiosity, while Jarani is more shy, calm, and attentive.

Truly, they are two jewels and their parents have reason to feel lucky to have two such special girls.
