A boy from Berea, Ohio, USA, fainted at home one day and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital. But what the people in the ambulance did not know was that the reason for the child’s condition was something that was hidden in his socks.
In January, the ambulance service received an urgent phone call, the father had called because his 8-year-old son was no longer breathing, and his lips had turned blue. When police arrived at the scene, his father was desperately resuscitating him. Fortunately, a police officer found the boy’s pulse and called an ambulance, then took him to the hospital.
But only there was the truth about what had really happened. The nurses found in the little one’s socks an impressive amount of banned substances, his health problem was this: he had suffered an overdose! It is not yet known how they got into the child’s socks, but his father admitted that he used such substances at home that day. Both parents were arrested for possession of prohibited substances and endangering a minor.
This case triggered all kinds of reactions, some say that the fact that the parents used such substances in the house, this also made the child think that it is okay to do the same.
Fortunately, the boy survived and fully recovered, according to CBS News.
