Rachel Moore from Brisbane, Australia, married a man named Daryl, although Rachel had 3 children from a previous relationship. During their 7-year marriage, Rachel and Daryl had two children together. Outside they seemed to be one of the happiest families, the children were: Jayden, 14, Cameron, 12, Kaylee, 10, Zane, 4, and Samantha, 2. But everything fell apart when one day Daryl attacked Rachel.
Unfortunately, Rachel’s former relationship also ended because of the domestic violence, so she already knew that if he was able to hit her once, he would do it a second time, so she kicked him out of the house.
For years, their relationship remained one of simple friendship, for the sake of the children, but on April 11, 2014, Daryl got annoyed again, the woman was at home with the children when she heard a car approaching the house with speed. Rachel knew it was Daryl who got drunk, but this time he had brought a gun and was going to use it on her, so the mother hid her children in the bedroom.
When Daryl shot her, he hit Rachel in the arm and she lost consciousness. Before the man could reload the gun, the two older boys came to him quickly, took his gun and hid it outside, the boys hit him and strangled the man until he was left unconscious! It seems that two weeks ago the two had taken some martial arts classes.
No one would have imagined that the boys would use their new skills to save their mother! The woman was taken to the hospital where she fully recovered. Rachel now says that domestic violence can affect anyone, so she wanted to make her story public, hoping it could help someone become aware of the dangers of such a relationship.
