Kaleena Pysher is a 19-year-old Alaskan mother who gave her child up for adoption because, she says, “lack of life experience.”

The girl was in her senior year of high school, she was 18 when she found out she was pregnant with her daughter, Raylie, in February last year. She did not feel ready, so she immediately chose to give it up for adoption because she thought it would be selfish of her to raise her child due to lack of experience. When she was only 4 months pregnant, she had already chosen the family to adopt her child.

After Raylie was born in November, the adoptive family took her home after thanking her mother for her amazing gift. However, the teenager did not stop here. After hearing about the benefits of breast milk, Kaleena knew she had to try to feed Raylie as much as possible.
What did she do? She decided to pump her milk as often as possible to send it to the adoptive family, she did this for three months, even if it caused her pain. Here is what she says: “I do this out of love. Because I want the best for my daughter. “ Kaleena, who sometimes even bleeds while using the pump, endures everything with stoicism and thinks only of the good of the girl.
After Kaleena gave birth 9 days prematurely, she held and fed the little one, but as soon as the new parents arrived at the hospital, she put the baby in their arms: “I wanted my daughter to connect with them. They will raise her. When a baby is breastfed, the benefits are staggering. I decided that I want my baby to have the best options and to be able to grow up with what is best for her ”.
