An incredible discovery took place

An incredible discovery took place in Turkey.

A team of archaeologists has discovered a series of huge ceramic jars buried in the ground 2,800 years ago. It all happened in Vans, in the south of Turkey, and archaeologists believe that it could be from the Kingdom of Urartu, which ruled the country since the middle of the 19th century BC.

More than 50 archaeologists have worked to unearth these true treasures. They believe that the jars are in fact graves, more precisely vessels in which are the earthly remains of the people of those times.

Dr. Erkan Konyar says that archaeologists are working to repair and preserve this ancient city and that no one can believe that the walls above the tombs are still standing, even after all the earthquakes they went through for 2,800 years. years. The architecture remained robust and unchanged.

Vans was the capital of the Urartian Kingdom until it fell in the 16th century BC. Every summer a team of 50 archaeologists work to try to discover even more treasures that this earth hides.
