Some countries suffer more than others because of the fury of nature that is unleashed. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, floods, or strong fires.

Chile is the wave of these countries. In the first weeks of this year, many forest fires broke out in Chile. They burned more than 600 thousand hectares of forest area, and 11 people lost their lives in flames. Members of the Garcia family would also be among the dead.

The fire was rapidly approaching their home and household. The head of the family, Carlos Garcia, came out in front of the flames in a desperate attempt to extinguish them, but he did not succeed. At the same time, he gave some instructions to his wife in case the fire would burn down their house.

Thus, when it became clear that the fire would engulf their household, Silvana, Carlos’ wife, and their two daughters had to hide at the bottom of a well and wait there until the flames receded. While their house was burning and the air temperature was rising to 980 degrees Celsius, Silvana was sitting in the well with her daughters.

Above the well, the woman placed a sheet metal so that the temperature inside would not reach unbearable temperatures. The father also found a hiding place on a hilltop, inaccessible to the flames and so he was able to save his life. After that, he ran to his house.

But instead of the household and the house, Carlos found only piles of ashes, burnt animals, and scorched earth. The man was panicking because he did not know if his wife and daughter could be saved from the fire. As he approached the well, the man heard the voice of the three and breathed a sigh of relief.

His wife and daughter were well, and he helped them out of the well. Unfortunately, the Garcia family lost all their material possessions, but most importantly, the people were able to save their lives. At this moment, they are building a new house and trying to make another household.
