The Dubai police had an extremely strange event that they still can’t explain.
Sharjah police posted a picture and a clip that looked strange as no one had seen it before.
What was it really?
It was a fruit, more specifically a species of melon that had been found on the beach.
What was very strange was the fact that the watermelon had nails stuck in it and it also had a cardboard picture of someone on it.
The nails were carefully pounded in small rows over the figure in the picture. Police officials say they have spoken to officials in the Islamic Affairs Department and they have said the object is not a threat.
Although the UAE is more relaxed about many social issues, objects that can be associated with black magic or witchcraft are illegal here. This strange watermelon is believed to have been used in a ritual, and the one who made it risks years in prison if caught.
