An old man was always sitting, for about 35 years, always writing frantically, his pen seemed to be able to keep up with the speed at which his ideas and thoughts came. Who was he?

It all happened in São Paulo, Brazil. Here an old man was always sitting, for about 35 years, always writing frantically, his pen seemed to be able to keep up with the speed at which his ideas and thoughts came. Who was he?

His name is Raimundo Arruda Sobrinho, he was a poet. But why was he sitting on a street corner and nowhere else in a comfortable armchair? This man had no house, he lived on that street corner, at the mercy of passers-by. He had been sitting there writing for three decades.

But a few years ago he made a friend: Shalla Monteiro was so impressed by the poetry of this man she had barely met, even though she had seen him on the street for a long time, that she decided not to calm down until she fulfills his dream of publishing a book.

So Shalla created a Facebook page where she always put texts of this man. Soon the public was fascinated by this poet, and his life changed forever… He published his book, no longer lived on the streets, and reconnected with his family! All because of his friendship with Shalla. What a beautiful friendship!
