The man had fished his wallet, which he lost 25 years ago.

An Austrian fisherman managed to catch an impressive catch. Hans Eichhorn usually goes fishing almost daily on the lake. But it never occurred to him, when he threw the fishing rod, that he would return to shore with such a catch. “When I saw it, I immediately thought he seemed familiar.”

He also had a reason. The man had fished his wallet, which he lost 25 years ago.

When he got home, he began to investigate the capture. He took out everything he found in his wallet and dried the papers. To his surprise, the old bank cards were almost intact, as was the money: five hundred Austrian shillings, or about 36 euros.

“It seems to be a large sum, but it is not worth it. I need to think about what I’m going to do with the money. Most likely I will keep it as a memory. “

The incident reached Facebook and since then, it has been circulating in the media.

“It’s like going on a journey through time, at a time when I was not using the euro, but the shilling. I try to remember what it was like then, ” said Hans.

The Austrian fishing enthusiast is a writer by profession and is thinking of using the unique story as a source of inspiration for his future novel.
