Michael Faling is Cory’s father, whom he loves with all his heart, he raises his child alone. Their lives were as normal as they could be until Michael lost his job. Since then, their lives have changed dramatically.
As their savings ran out, the father was desperate that he could not find a job at all and could no longer pay for the one in which he lived with his son. It wasn’t long before they were both thrown out into the street, with no relatives to provide them with a small shelter, at least for a while. Everything was even more dramatic because there were no shelters in the city for people left without a roof over their heads.
In a moment of despair, he advertised in a newspaper asking anyone with a big heart to provide him and his son with a home, but he could have done all the work that was needed in a house.
At one point the two lived on the street, their money ran out and winter was approaching, and their father did not know what to do. That’s when he found out about a charity that helps homeless people find a roof over their heads, but there they were told that there are few who want to offer a home to someone else.
However, the two were very lucky because Mel Wood, who had lost her husband 6 years ago to a cardiac arrest, found out about their story. She lived alone with her three children and decided to offer the two a room in her house.
Here is what the woman confessed: “In life, I try to follow a simple principle: If you have extra money, then it is better to make a table than to build a fence. I don’t think we should tremble over money if it can help someone. “
