Here are 5 of the most horrific shark attacks known to date:
1. In 2003, Bethany Hamilton was the victim of one of the most horrible but also the most popular attacks. It was so memorable that a film was made after her, in 2011, entitled Soul Surfer. Bethany was only 13 years old when she was attacked by the shark, it bit her arm, and after the attack, she lost 60% of her blood. But Bethany did not give up surfing, and two years after the tragedy, even without a hand, she received the national title for this sport!
2. In 1963, Rodney Fox was at a swordfish fishing competition, then went swimming. Unfortunately, he was attacked by a huge white shark. At one point the sea monster left him but returned to him. He was bitten many times but fortunately, he was rescued by people from a lifeboat who saw him. The lungs, upper stomach, and bones of his hands were exposed, he had no meat on them.
3. In 2012, Valey and Syndey Levy were attacked. Sydney was pulled underwater by a shark while sitting on the beach on a beach in Florida, USA. Valey, who was her mother, immediately grabbed her shoulders and pulled her onto a surfboard. The rescuers recovered both, and they did well because in a few more minutes there was another attack in the same area.
4. In 2004 a lifeguard had major problems. Rob Howes swam with three other women who had the same job, it all happened on the coast of New Zealand. That was the moment when some dolphins approached them that seemed to be behaving a bit strangely. Soon Rob saw that many sharks were approaching, but then something extraordinary happened, the dolphins began to swim in a circle so fast that the sharks could not attack them.
5. Russel Easton was an underwater photographer doing his job, then he was attacked. The professional photographer was trying to photograph a giant tiger shark when the shark decided to bite his camera. Russel sensed the danger, so he forced the camera even deeper into the shark’s mouth, then walked away as fast as he could. He escaped unharmed!
