A couple in China experienced a real tragedy when their daughter, only 2 years old, died of a brain injury. Although they tried their best to save her, the doctors could not do anything for her and recommended that her parents disconnect her from the devices. The gesture made by the two grieving young people impressed an entire country: they decided to make their daughter an organ donor.
“Our child will not be, but if she can save lives, why not do it? She will continue to live this way, keeping alive other souls who are in desperate need of help, ” they said.
Thus, less than an hour after making this decision, two other children, who were hospitalized in an adjoining living room, were given the chance to live, after being scheduled for a liver and kidney transplant.
In an emotional gesture, some of the hospital staff gathered near the girl’s bed and bowed, thanking both her and her parents for the noble gesture.
