It all started after Michala Pyke, 37, found out she was pregnant. Although normally any woman should be extremely happy to hear this news, her reaction was restrained.
The little girl was born perfectly healthy and, for a few months, both Michala and her partner, John, tried to be good parents. However, they soon got bored of these roles and ended up putting their needs above those of the child.
Little Pyke thus became an obstacle for them, and in order to continue enjoying life and drink, her parents came to give her medicine.
The little girl was sedated like that all the time and had become a vegetable. Finally, at the age of only 4, she died of a heart attack.
The two were eventually detained by the police, and if found guilty, they risk years in prison for murder.
