Little girl playing in the backyard in a beautiful sunny day – what happened next is terrifying

Summer. This word triggers your mind and pulls up so many memories, right? Sun, wind, less clothes, cold drinks, ice cream, longer days. You can’t hate this season. But there is also a bad side like more insects. Mosquitos, ticks, and many other little devilish creatures are making this beautiful season looking like a nightmare sometimes. Ticks for example are very dangerous and we have some interesting facts about them as well.

These little devils are not insects. They are actually arachnids, and if you have a look at their legs you’ll see that they have 4 pairs. Ticks use a very sneaky way to approach their prey. When a tick is hungry, the questing begins. Because they don’t fly or jump, climbing on grass or plants and use the back legs to hook on the leaf and the front legs to reach the prey when it’s passing by. It’s also crucial to mention that they are not like other insects that bite or sting, they can stay buried inside the skin of the host for up to 48 hours to feed properly. Some greedy little bastards, right? A mother from Ohio had the nightmare of her life when she discovered that her daughter had contact with such vampires. Make sure you read this story till the end.

Her daughter was playing in the backyard with the dog, running after the ball, enjoying the summer like everyone else. The mother had some free time and decided to enjoy a cold lemonade while watching her daughter playing. She prepared an extra glass of lemonade for her daughter and when she came by, thirsty after playing for a while, the mother noticed something unusual on her little one’s skin: a lot of black dots. Legs, hands, belly.. these mysterious little spots were everywhere.

Beka thought that it might be dirt so she decided to give her daughter a bath, but nothing happened, the dots were still there. Then she finally realized what it was. Ticks. She didn’t stay an extra minute and started to remove over one hundred ticks from the child’s skin, one by one. The next morning they visited the doctor as the child was feeling sick. The Lyme disease test was made and fortunately, it came out that she was negative, maybe it was just because of the ardent sun.

After what happened she wanted to post her story online in order to raise awareness about ticks, and soon enough it became viral. Many other people shared their stories with similar incidents, as there are many areas infected by ticks.

Some tips: choose proper clothing if you’re going in nature, like long pants and sleeves. Wear insect repellant and reapply as instructed on the ticket.
