He is Tommy Connolly – Dad and Grandpa. He is also a student, an athlete, and also works part-time. But a post on Facebook made his life take a dramatic turn.
His 17-year-old cousin contacted him on Facebook and told him that she was homeless and pregnant. So Tommy adopted Angela, and a week later she gave birth to a wonderful baby boy.
Since he is legally Angela’s father, the child is his grandson. Tommy says he doesn’t consider himself a hero, he thinks he’s just someone who helped a desperate member of his family.
Here is what the humble student had to say: “If it’s just a matter of putting a year or two of my life on hold to make sure two lives are saved, then that’s nothing.”
