“Not all heroes wear capes or are human.

Blacky didn’t stop barking until he found the help he was looking for. And only because of his nose, in Cebu, Philippines, a child

unwanted, abandoned in the garbage, he was saved “, this is how La Stampa journalists start their story.

Junrell Fuentes Revilla rode his motorcycle through the mountains of Cebu.

At one point, out of nowhere, a dog appeared in front of him, which began to bark loudly and run after him.

Initially, the man thought the quadruped was disturbed then realized that he wanted to “tell” him something and that he would not give up until he stopped.

The dog barked incessantly, “as if he desperately needed to say something.” Junrell stopped, pet him, and realized he wanted to show him something, take him somewhere. Overwhelmed by the situation, he followed.

The dog began to guide him from the path to a landfill. And there he saw “a package.” When he approached, the man couldn’t believe his eyes: he was a newborn wrapped in a towel, still alive.

The child was taken to the nearest police station: he appeared to be in good health, despite being abandoned in a landfill. The story spread quickly on social networks, and several Hope For Strays volunteers went in search of the dog.

That’s how they found out that he is not a stray dog, but he belongs to a large family that lives in the mountains.

The family loves dogs and has 4 other puppies. We will never forget what its owner told us:

“No matter how hard life is, even if I am poor, I feed all my dogs and take care of them”
