Nightmare images have made the rounds of the world, here’s what happened.
It all happened in Steveston Harbor, Richmond, Canada, where a little girl was dragged into the water by a sea lion who, at the beginning of the video, can be seen threateningly approaching the little girl who was sitting on the edge of the dock.
Robert Kiesman, the port manager, said there was a real danger and always tried to warn tourists not to feed the animals: “Clearly you shouldn’t let a little girl sit on the edge of the dock with her dress hanging on the edge of the water after a sea lion had already rushed to it once. Parents’ behavior is irresponsible. ”
Eventually, the child was rescued by a witness and although she was visibly scared, she was not injured.
