Melissa Kayser’s biggest dream was to be a mother. For years she and her husband tried everything to fulfill this dream.

Abortion after abortion – nine more precisely – and all for medical reasons, shook the couple. Fertility treatments have not helped.
“It’s hard and I know I’m not alone. Spontaneous abortions are still a taboo subject, no one wants to talk about them, so you have to suffer in silence,” said Melissa. She had to face the possibility that she would never be a mother.
“I was devastated because I thought that’s why women are literally born to reproduce, and when you can’t do that you feel like a failure,” Melissa said.
When doctors suggested she try to have a surrogate mother, the woman felt hurt because, despite her strong desire to have a child, she did not know if she could cope with the idea of another woman being able to conceive her child.

Then her older sister, Lisa, stepped forward to help her younger sister. Although Lisa was never married and never wanted to be a mother, her sister’s suffering shook her so she offered to be her surrogate mother.
For several months, the two sisters underwent medical, psychological, and legal consultations and after they were approved, they underwent the embryo transfer operation, implanting two embryos, although the doctors warned them that only one would survive. . Weeks later, everyone was shocked to see what the tests showed. Lisa was pregnant with twins.
Fortunately, Lisa had an easy, uncomplicated pregnancy, and 6 weeks ago little Ashlynn and Tierney were born.
Melissa’s gratitude to her older sister is boundless: “There are no words to thank her for what she did for me.” Her gratitude for Lisa is overshadowed only by the joy of becoming a mother.
“I really have a feeling of reverence every day. You hear women say you don’t really know love until you have children,” said Melissa.

Lisa’s altruism demonstrates what love means. Congratulations to the happy family and welcome to Ashlynn and Tierney!
