Something shocking happened in the Chinese province of Ningbo in 2012: a guard discovered a child in the city park, and next to it was a letter in which the parents launched a request for someone to take care of the little one. In the same letter, they also wrote that the boy was deaf and that his family was poor and could not take care of him as he deserved. The boy had only been born a few weeks ago.

The child arrived at an orphanage where he lived for 2 years, until an American woman, Molly Sano, decided to adopt him. Although she and her husband did everything humanly possible, only in 2014 did the two manage to take the little one to their home. “It was love at first sight!” – says Molly, and after they arrived in the USA, she changed her name to Bennett.

The abandoned child was in good hands because Molly is a specialist in sign language and her husband is also deaf, as is the child. In just 3 months, the little one learned to communicate, but the doctors gave him a horrible diagnosis, he had Usher disease that affects both hearing and vision. Bennett will be completely blind soon.
Molly decided to find Bennett’s biological parents so that he could see his real mother before he lost his sight forever. She managed to find the necessary phone number in a clinic specializing in hearing impairments in Ningbo, where the boy’s father had probably addressed, according to Perfect Media.

In January 2016, the two adoptive parents visited China to find their child’s biological parents, and they agreed to meet them. Bennett’s biological mother immediately began to explain that she did so because she had no choice.

They found out that the boy has another brother and a sister, both older. Bennett’s parents were forced to leave him because Chinese law forbids them from having more than two children. Otherwise, they had to pay a huge fine. They were happy that their son had grown up in a good family and that he was properly cared for. Saying goodbye, both mothers hugged Bennett several times…

It seems that the fate of this child is not unique, in China parents are often forced to resort to the gesture of leaving their children due to the demographic problem. Little Bennett had a happy fate and good luck, despite all his health problems.

Bennett is now in the home of a loving family, we applaud this family’s effort to help him!
