These parents paid a visit to the dentist with their 14-month-old daughter for fillings, but they did not expect that day to end so terribly. Daisy Torres was scheduled at the local dentist in Austin to have her teeth checked by dr. Michael Melanson. He administered her anesthesia which turned out to be fatal for the little girl. She suffered a cardiac arrest, probably due to the dose of anesthetic, and died on the way to the hospital.
The case was investigated and not long after the cause of death was clear: the little girl suffered complications that led to this sudden and painful end. What is still unclear is that the girl did not have any problems with her teeth. The parents gave an interview in which they display their pain and want this not to happen to anyone, so they will take the necessary steps to receive moral damages worth over one million dollars. This was not supposed to happen and the police will continue to investigate the case to see if the dentist is to blame.
