Mariola married Rafael after they fell in love at first sight. Everything went perfectly between them, but after they got married things started to change drastically. Rafael was becoming more and more possessive and started showing signs of aggressive behavior.
At first, it was verbal violence, after which Rafael started hitting her. Mariola had a great love for him, and she didn’t think of leaving him even if he treated her very badly, like she was nothing. After a very strong argument between Mariola and Rafael, the neighbors heard what happened and he was summoned to court, where he was forced to attend anger management sessions. The man went to all the meetings but without any success. He did not put any advice into practice and became even more aggressive.
Seeing that nothing can change him, Mariola thought that maybe a newborn would change the situation a little. She thought that a baby could turn Rafael into a gentler, more patient and loving man. The transition to parental status did not make Rafael a better man, but on the contrary, he became even more aggressive and the fights multiplied. He came drunk one night and sexually abused Mariola while their son was in the room. She was brutally beaten and Rafael even put drugs in her drink to make her vulnerable.
Mariola endured all this torment for the sake of the child, not wanting to lose him somehow. Mariola’s mother came to the apartment after a week in which she could not find her, and found her almost unconscious. She was hit in the breasts and ribs by Rafael, who threatens her every day, telling her that her milk is useless. Mariola’s mother was shocked when she heard what her daughter went through for the sake of the child.
She did not know that Raphael was such a cruel and ruthless man. Mariola testified against him and said he tried to blind and deafen her. Rafael was arrested and imprisoned for his inhuman behavior.
