Tears flowing at the cashier after little girl explains the reason she’s wearing her father’s boots
Losing a loved one triggers a lot of changes in life, especially if it was someone very close. The most affected in these situations are the children because this type of tragedy leaves a deep stain and it is quite difficult to get over it, knowing that the deceased person will not be there anymore. A lady was shopping in a local store and met a little girl who was behaving strangely at first sight. After realizing what it was all about, she couldn’t control his tears.
The lady in our story was in a store to get what she needs for the household and after making sure she has all the stuff on the list checked, she made her way to the cash register. While waiting in line, she heard footsteps behind her. There was a little girl wearing very, very big boots. Her mother which was behind her was dressed normally, and the woman we are talking about was a little puzzled about the girl’s outfit, so she complimented the little girl and told her that she has some really nice shoes.
The girl answered by saying thanks and so they started a conversation. The girl told the woman that the reason she was wearing those “funny” boots was because they once belonged to her father. Her reason made everyone around sad.
She continued the sentence by saying that her father was killed in the war in Afghanistan and because today was his birthday, she chose to honor him by wearing his boots. She started saying stories about the moments she had with her father and said that she misses him very much, but she is sure that he is in a good place because he deserves it. After finishing the sentence, her mother began to cry. At that moment, the people around could hardly control their tears. A man who was there and overheard the whole conversation offered to buy the girl a cake and told her that her father would be very proud of her.
