Detecting a serious illness in a very young child is an extremely powerful blow for parents. Parents who go through such blows must remain strong, although it is very difficult due to excessive worries, but still, they must hope for the best. A couple went through a very stressful and worrying experience after their newborn daughters, nicknamed the firecracker babies, because they surprised their parents and were born on 4th of July. Alissa and Michael Dunn were extremely happy when their little two baby girls were born, everything was perfect. In September, they noticed that Isabelle, one of the girls, had a swelling in her abdomen, which worried both of them a lot because such things are not normal to happen to a baby who was born healthy. After performing an ultrasound in the abdominal area, the diagnosis was clear, the baby had cancer.

The parents were overwhelmed with upset and immediately began treatment procedures. After performing several detailed tests, they found that her twin sister had exactly the same problem. A tumor in the same place. Chemotherapy was the only option at the time, so they started treatment immediately.

“Some days were very, very hard. A lot of negative news, when you walk into that valley, you don’t know how things are gonna turn out. Only thing you can do is trust the Lord and put your faith in him.”, Michael said in an interview.

And God watched over the two little baby girls and things got better. The girls began to heal and by the end of October, they were sent home, after the results of the tests were better. The family was able to celebrate Christmas with their daughters. They received a phone call from the doctors and the results were great: the girls were healthy, there was no sign of the disease! This situation could end tragically. The same disease in twins, but doctors, with the power of God, managed to cure them.
