Thieves chose the wrong person to steal from – “I lifted the rear wheel and knocked him on the ground”
There are many thieves in the world, criminals waiting around the corner to hit and steal from the weakest. Thieves know how to choose their targets, taking into account several factors, such as physical appearance, material things worn, or style. Many times they manage to carry out their plans, but they also happen to be wrong and fail in a great style, the consequences being painful and long-term, ending up being imprisoned after receiving a severe beating from the victims. The same thing happened in the next story in which two thieves tried to steal a young lady’s phone while she was walking on the sidewalk. Of course, they did not expect what followed.
The whole incident took place in Acailandia, Brazil, in broad daylight. A young woman was heading to the jiu-jitsu classes she was practicing with her friends, when suddenly two individuals on a motorcycle stopped next to them and asked for their mobile phones. One of the young women was none other than the MMA fighter named Monique Bastos. Of course, the two motorcyclists did not know this and were surprised when she refused to pass their phones.
They tried to run away and Monique acted immediately and lifted the rear wheel of the motorcycle, knocking the two to the ground. One of them managed to escape, running away with her phone and fleeing the scene, but the other one was not so lucky. Monique poured out her anger on the boy, catching him in a maneuver named “rear-naked choke”, immobilizing him until the police arrived. In vain he cried and yelled out to be released, the harder he struggled to free himself, the harder Monique tightened, like an anaconda snake.
Monique Bastos, 28, currently has four consecutive victories and is highly regarded in her country for her fighting style. She said in an interview that she had faced such problems in the past and managed to immobilize the thief who was armed with a knife. She is proud of her abilities because she was able to defend her friends who were accompanying her at that time. These thieves had an unexpected surprise.
