Who would have thought that from the moment they adopt their neighbor’s three children, nothing will be the same?
Audrey, the mother of three children, had to be hospitalized for a series of tests. Then she asked her neighbor, Tisha, who was also a mother of five, to take care of the little ones. She had no husband, so she didn’t have anyone to leave her children overnight. After consulting with her husband, Tisha agreed.
Arriving at the hospital, the results of the tests, however, fell like lightning! Audrey was suffering from stomach cancer. She was at a fairly advanced stage, and her days were numbered.
Although there was no friendship between the two women, Audrey asked Tisha if she would agree to adopt her children after she died. To her surprise, she agreed. A few days later, unfortunately, Audrey died.
With two adults and eight children, their house became overcrowded overnight. The two spouses, however, did not complain for a moment. On the contrary! They made sure that all the children, their children, and the adopted ones, did not feel neglected or extra.
The neighbors knew their story and were extremely impressed by the extraordinary efforts the two made for the family.
One day, one of their neighbors called a TV show that organized charities for needy families and told them everything. Overly impressed, they took a film crew, gathered volunteers, and went to Tisha’s house.
When she saw them, she was extremely ashamed, but she invited them into the house and told them the whole story. The house, although large, was not compartmentalized according to the new needs.
When the show’s host told her they wanted to fulfill her wish, Tisha burst into tears! There were tears of happiness! And, because the empty house was needed for the renovation, the two husbands and children were sent on a short trip.
With the help of volunteers, however, they renovated not one room, but the whole house! Demonstrating an extraordinary ambition, they managed to complete, in four days, a work that would normally have lasted about six weeks!
The news spread quickly, so soon the neighbors began to donate money for furniture. Moreover, being the Christmas period, they also bought dozens of gifts for children. As they knew that their money was very few, they also offered them a food voucher, valid for a year!
The day they returned home, the two husbands and their children were shocked!
“I wouldn’t have thought in a million years that our house could look like this,” said Tisha excitedly.
“Such things don’t just happen… It’s like living in a dream. I love my children and, as long as they are happy, I am happy too “, she added.
Towards evening, they received the last part of the surprise: a brand new car, a big one, in which the whole family could fit.
