Christopher Garrett had been a war engineer by profession, but on a mission to Afghanistan, he had been shot very hard in the stomach. His disability was bad, and he was forced to withdraw.
Now Garrett wanted to spend more time with his children and help his wife with the housework, and among the things he had to do regularly was mow the lawn with an old lawnmower that tormented and annoyed him terribly.

One day, Garrett’s wife saw him lying on the grass in the garden and weeping loudly, so she went to see what had happened, but when she looked around she understood. Her husband was holding a note that had only a few lines:
“I hope this helps you save enough time for what really matters in your life. Thank you for your military service and for my freedom. Sincerely, a grateful American. “

This note had come with a state-of-the-art lawnmower. The former soldier had been so moved by this gesture that he cried like a child.
