This MAN has managed to save the lives of 2,400,000 BABIES so far!

James Christopher Harrison is the man who donated the most blood in the world. According to estimates, he has managed to save over 2,400,000 children so far!

It all started when James was 14 years old and underwent surgery, needing 13 liters of blood. After recovering, he decided that he should get very involved in the donation act, so for 57 years, every three weeks, he goes to the hospital to donate blood!

James Christopher Harrison was born in 1936, between Christmas and New Year, in Australia. He had not yet turned 14 when he began to feel unwell. One visit, two, to the hospital, then, he heard terrible news: one of his lungs was affected. A complicated operation followed, the organ being removed. He was in a deep coma for three months. Then he woke up. He survived! His father told him that during these 100 days, the blood kept him alive. 13 liters of blood! Received from donors! From strangers. Then his life changed. And not once, but twice: but his plans were great, he wanted to become a donor.

In 1954 he went for the first time. After only a few visits to the hospital, he found out that his blood contained a large amount of antibodies, a rarity. He was able to successfully fight the baby’s hemolytic disease, a disease that affected 17% of expectant Australian mothers at the time.

He immediately understood the message. He made a habit of donating. It went on every three weeks, for 57 years, without interruption. His blood was so important that they secured it for $ 1,000,000. “There are extremely few people with your qualities,” said the specialists. 50 people across Australia.

In May 2011, it reached 1,000 donations, a record in the field. “I want him shot down because that would mean more transfusions, and more blood,” James said on the day they hung the “Order of Australia” Medal on his chest.

According to estimates, James Harrison saved 2,400,000 babies in his life.

How much appreciation does this man deserve from us?
