The heartbreaking story of a three-year-old boy from Ohio, abandoned in a cemetery with his dog, two days before Christmas, touched thousands of hearts who offered to bring him relief.
The child, named Tony, was abandoned in Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery with his dog. A witness told police that he saw the child and his dog start running after the car that left them in the cemetery.

Police then confirmed the heartbreaking story of the three-year-old boy. According to official reports, police were called Wednesday afternoon to Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where a witness reported seeing a fast-moving car and a boy “running after the car, followed by a dog,” writes The Sun.
The police also said that the boy knew how to tell them his name was Tony and even provided them with his parents’ first name.

The abandoned child was taken over by social services
Subsequently, the parents were identified, but the boy remained in the care of social services for the protection of the child.
The head of the Ohio Hinckley Police Department, David Centner, then announced that the little one had already been taken over by a loving family in Medina and that he was doing quite well.
“The investigation is still ongoing, with many questions still unanswered, but I want to assure everyone that Tony is doing very well in the loving home of an adoptive family here in Medina. His father collaborated a lot with us and with the Social Services.
If anyone would like to buy a Christmas present for Tony, we are ready to receive them at the Hinckley Police Station and we will take them to him as soon as possible “, is the message sent by the HPD chief.

The little boy received dozens of Christmas presents
At Christmas, the little one was overwhelmed by the gifts received from the community, which wanted to bring him joy.
“Our lobby is full of gifts that have been left for Tony,” David Centner said in a Facebook post.
“I contacted my friend Santa Claus and tomorrow morning, after he finishes his deliveries, he will stop at the police station to load the sleigh and make one last stop, to see our little friend again,” he wrote on Facebook.
