A young man crossed the street through an illegal place and was hit hard by a car. The accident took place early in the morning in the suburb of Antalya.
The doctors who arrived at the scene were horrified by what they saw, and according to them, the boy had no chance to stay alive.
Now the boy is in bed, not talking and not understanding almost anything. In addition, no organs remained intact.
The serious incident took away from the boy not only his health but also his past. So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange.
When the event took place in the hospital, there was also a woman named Gulisum, who was taking care of her husband’s sister. Hearing how serious the boy’s situation was, she decided that she could take care of this young man as well. The woman stayed with him in the hospital for a year, during which time she managed to gain custody. Then Gulisum took him home and gave him the name Umut, which translates from Turkish for “suffering”.
Gulisum realized that the boy was of Russian origin, so he asked an acquaintance to talk to Umut. At first, the boy had no reaction, only when he heard the names of people in Russian did he start crying.
Every morning, the woman took care of Umut as her own child: she made him fresh oranges, changed his diapers, the boy being immobilized in an orthopedic bed, especially for people with disabilities.
Umut’s recovery is obvious: if after he left the hospital he weighed only 30 kilograms, now the boy weighs 40 kilograms more.
Gulisum has three more boys, who help her take care of Umut. So does her ex-husband, she comes and massages the boy.
Although she has taken care of Umut for so long, managing to establish a strong connection between them, Gulisum longs for the young man’s family to find him, but at the same time, she thinks sadly about when the boy could leave their family.
