Even if it seems hard to believe, there is a 10,000-room hotel that has never been inhabited.
The largest hotel in the world is located on the island of Rugen in the Baltic Sea. The building has 10,000 bedrooms and impresses with its size and beauty.
Surprisingly, however, no one has ever been here. The hotel was built 70 years ago but had no tourists crossing its threshold.
The reason is incredible. The impressive building was built by the Nazis between 1936 and 1939, on the orders of Adolf Hitler, the dreaded dictator. The goal was to accommodate 20,000 people. The propaganda was simple: “power through happiness.” However, it was not to be.
During that period, the war caught the tyrant’s attention, which is why the hotel remained unfinished. More than 9,000 workers worked here until they were all transferred to weapons factories. During the war, the impressive hotel was used as a hideout.
Today, the hotel is one of the biggest curiosities in the world.
