This is a bittersweet story. Ronnie is the pastor of a church in Florida, and Krystal Stewart is his wife. The two began offering free meals to homeless people at least twice a week. They also offered these people free clothes as well as toiletries, which proved to be a real blessing for these people.
One day in November, while going to work, they noticed two little boys in front of the church. They were the children of two people who came when they were offered food and took it for the family. The couple asked the parents if they could take the two children home for one night, feed them and take care of them.
The parents said yes immediately, hoping that the two boys would spend a pleasant evening in a house because they did not have one. The day the parents returned to pick up the children, they wanted to talk to the two good people.
The social worker in charge of their case had decided that the two children could no longer live with their parents, and the two, in desperation, asked the Stewirs to take care of them so that the boys would not end up in an orphanage.
Five months later, the Stewirs were forced to choose between sending their children to an orphanage, or adopting them because they were not yet allowed to be reunited with their parents. So they adopted them, although she also had 3 other children of their own.
It is sad that parents and children will never be able to have a stable situation together, but these two people have changed the lives and destinies of the two boys! We hope they will live together happily!
