Michelle Yates could not understand why her daughter had been crying for several days, so she was very attentive to every detail. But it was only when she looked more closely at her diaper that she found the infuriating discovery: the diaper had sharp metal pieces in the inner fabric, pieces that were not normally visible.
Initially, the doctors told her that the little girl’s pain was caused by constipation and that the cuts appeared because her 5-month-old daughter was struggling because of the pain. The desperate mother made the discovery when she changed the little girl’s diaper and was more careful.
The woman was extremely outraged about both the manufacturer and the store that sold her diaper and was waiting for an official explanation.
Here is what the little girl’s father said: “We do not want material compensation, but we would like to know what happened, to have a transparent investigation launched so that other babies do not go through this.”
Currently, the two parents do everything they can so that the problem they went through is as publicized as possible, and other children do not go through the same torment.
