Erika Karner was renovating the house where she grew up, the one in San Francisco when the workers she had hired dug up and revealed something incredible. When she realized what was there, Erika understood that something had to be done…

Renovations can reveal all sorts of secrets, especially if the houses are old, and you can’t know what’s underground unless you dig. There is a lot of history around our homes, a history that we would never know if we did not look for it. This is exactly what this woman did, and the search results turned out to be incredible.
Erika initially discovered what she thought was just a box made of wood and covered with small pieces of glass, hidden in the ground. She made the workers take it from there with great care and she became very curious, she wanted to know its origin.
At first, she could not even imagine what it had been used for in the past, it was not strange to find such a box, but the way the box was decorated made the discovery unique. She finally realized that the box was actually a coffin containing the remains of a girl believed to have been buried 120 years ago when the land on which her house was built still functioned as a cemetery. Erika had no idea that her former childhood home had been built over a cemetery!

Even after more than a century, the coffin was in almost perfect condition, it was clear that it was made with skill and great care. Now Erika wants to know who that little girl was.
Take a closer look at this video that tells us about the past:
