A 42-year-old man has returned from a holiday on the beaches of Nigeria.
On his return, he noticed an unpleasant change in his right leg. Initially, he thought it was a broken vein, a varicose vein, but after careful analysis and a second opinion, he discovered that there was a living being in his body – a worm.
He had walked barefoot on the beaches of Nigeria and, of course, trampled on the dry feces of animals, hence the parasite.
The doctor gave him a medication that got rid of the parasite, fortunately. This is an opinion for the rest of us, to be very careful how we go anywhere. You never know what might happen, and good security outweighs the bad danger.
