A couple of Chinese parents were horrified after they discovered that their son had almost been strangled to death while his nanny was forcing him to eat.
The woman was filmed hitting the child and abruptly immobilizing his head, showing aggression that can mark a one-year-old child.
When her parents confronted the nanny, she said that she had a bad day and that is why she behaved like that, after which she packed her bags and left.
Mr. Zhang and Ms. Chen had to turn to a babysitting agency because they often go on business trips and have no one to leave their child with.
Ms. Chen said the agency told them they could send them videos of what was going on in the house 24 hours a day to reassure them as they left.
When they saw the video, they immediately came home and reported the nanny to the police, after which they took their child to the hospital to see if he was OK. It seems that the little one was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia due to abuse.
The case is under police investigation.
