Man jumps in the lake and kicks gator until he releases his best friend

Dogs are very protective when it comes to their family and owners. For these loyal creatures, the size doesn’t matter when it comes to a threat. They would jump and fight to protect, even if the odds are against them. What if its the other way around? A pet owner jumping and risking his life for his furry friend? Yeah, there are so many of you out there ready to do it, anytime, anywhere. Proud of you, courageous owners!

Pasco County is is a county located on the west-central coast in the state of Florida. It’s beautiful out there, but it’s known that around the lakes there’s danger. Gators. Big alligators that can appear from nowhere and attack, when they feel threatened. This poor dog felt it on his own skin when he was passing by with his owner.

Trent Tweeddale, a former army sergeant was having a walk with Luke, his dog and at some point, the dog was dragged in the water by a huge alligator. He didn’t think twice upon seeing the tragedy and grabbed the dog by his collar, while he was pulled inside the lake by the alligator which cached his leg. Seeing that the gator wouldn’t let go, Trent jumped inside the water and started to kick the beast until Luke was released.

He took Luke to the vets immediately and his leg was examined. Because of Trent, Luke’s leg wasn’t affected very bad and he will recover from the bite. He got himself with metal plates and screws but fortunately, he is alive and has all four legs. Trent promised to catch the beast that almost took away his best friend, so he partnered with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to catch the gator so there’s one less out there. Together, they will make it for sure.

It’s well known that Pasco County has issues with these reptiles for a long time, there are so many out there, crawling and swimming in the depths, waiting to catch something. Alligators were spotted even in the waters at Sunwest Park, but the staff is very diligent and ensures that they have the area protected and supervised 24/7. Truly, Trent’s courage deserves a round of applause! Please share with your loved ones to spread awareness about alligators and share the article with your loved ones!
